Originally an Indiana native, Karla graduated with Honors from Ball State University in 2002 with a Bachelors Degree in Landscape Architecture.
Before founding Native Bloom, Karla began her career at Cotluer & Hearing in Jupiter, Florida where she was a critical part of the design team focused on FDOT design projects.
During her 11 years with the Cotluer & Hearing, Karla played a role in projects spanning all facets of professional landscape architecture designing, community, commercial and high end residential properties and was well regarded by her colleagues and clients.
In 2013, Karla founded Native Bloom, Inc.
Karla’s commitment to design excellence and devotion to her craft, has earned her a solid reputation for being
professional , responsive and creative.
With 20 plus years of experience in all aspects of outdoor land design, Karla oversees all design projects and delivers design solutions enhancing outdoor experiences while exceeding the expectations of our clients.
Jay Mitchell Bloom

Originally from Jupiter, Florida, Jay is passionate about Florida Landscape Design.
In his early years he worked as a supervisor building and maintaining large scale landscape installation projects in multi-home communities for DiVosta & Company.
In 1997 Jay decided to pursue a career in Financial Services where he has spent the last 23 years helping thousands of participants in 401(k) plans reach their retirement goals as an Accredited Investment Fiduciary.
Jay recently decided to retire from financial services and instead focus his talents on building the established brand of Native Bloom, Inc.
Jay currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for Native Bloom. He is passionate about growing the family business, creating efficiencies and quality control processes that benefit the client experience.
